As I was trying to change the slave cylinder I decided that it's good to also change the seal at the gear box
at the opposite side of the slave cylinder.
I followed the instructions as seen here

When I finally removed the seal I saw that
although I was trying to be extremely careful I had fucked up the seal s casing .
How bad is it?
Do you think that I will have a permanent leaking from the gear box side.?
I think there's another seal behind this one at the gear box.
Is there anything that I can do like sanding or anything else ?
I'm thinking of drilling a hole at the bottom of the housing just in case.

did you pull the seal off the bearing too
its not a boxer , its a 180 degree v-twin

I've seen a few of these over the years with similar damage caused by previous attempts at seal removal.
I've always used a quality silicon sealant (believe me there is a vast difference in quality between sealants) spread around the damaged area and then inserted the new seal just before it's gone off, also adding a smear around the outside of the seal at the same time.
They've all remained oil tight.
A tip for removing that particular seal is to use two thick 90 degree dentists picks, again top quality items that have been hardened.

use proper engineering sealants ,,,, silicone dissolves in oil over a couple of years ,,
you get what you pay for with sealant .
i still use stag ,,, and if you have to ask ,,,

And what about the heat ? We aren't applying it on the cylinder head but it's still getting hot back there.

the very thing ,,, remember , these are engines , they are used to seeing heat.
