R1100s with a cough?

My r1100s has an annoying little cough, when your on the overrun it tends to pop a little very now and again, this is highly annoying in slow speed corners as it tends to push the bike on a little, as though its giving a little squirt of fuel in??
Any suggestions?

Popping from the exhaust on decel can point to an air leak in the exhaust system, check the joints are all tight. You can also get the feeling that the bike is being given a little shove whilst it sorts its fueling out. If your running a 'sporty' system then this can be tricky to eliminate totally. I get some craking flames from my GS on the overrun sometimes :D

Try disconnecting the lambda sensor the connection is under the tank right side follow the cable up from the sensor to find it most bikes run better with it disconnected

It tends to be when you shut the throttle off and decelerate for quite a while then just as you turn into a corner it pops and pushes on just a little. It does have a y piece exhaust I think but std cans? Not sure what else its had done.

Is that not "normal" , fuel cuts on the overrun until revs drop then pop, at the predetermined level , not sure what rpm exactly  . Maybe drop another gear to keep the revs higher ?
