Metzeler interact tentative revu
I switched recently to an R1150RS. I always had Pilot Roads on the 1100S and swore by them. On this RS, I thought I'd try the Metzeler Z8 Interact. As if we aren't already spoiled for choice. I like them. They inspire confidence in the wet. At slow, tight turns (eg junctions) they turn very sharply without a hint of instability. On the whole, I think they've taken a lot of weight off the bike, making it much more flickable. I'd be interested to hear the views of anyone else who's tried them. Enjoy the winter riding.

Tried a set on the RT12, very nice up to around 5,000 miles, then the re rear started to square off more so and the front started to wear real weird. I got about 7k out of the front but had to take it off as it was handling like frightened pig.
I happen to have a new front Z8 on my spare wheel atm and a 2k old one on my spare rear. So will wear them out over the summer but I won't buy again.
I'm liking the Conti Road attacks currently fitted for the winter. I had a set of these before from M&P for £150ish and found that although the rear is toast by 6k and the front soon after, the front deos wear fairly even.
I think my set set up is going to be a Cont RA front and PR2 rear as I like the wear and shape of the rear PR2 through it's life.
But bottom line, tyres are a very personal thing, what suits one person/bike doesn't suit another. But to my mind pretty much any modern tyre does the job.

Fitted a set to my 11S last year , currently 6 k miles but.... front punctured soon after fitting and ended up replacing , rear picked up 2 punctures since and currently has a slow puncture and the newer front is scalloped visibly. They work well wet or dry but I've never been that unlucky with punctures in the past. I'll be downgrading to a pair of reasonably priced Z6's shortly.
