OE BMW specific R11s tank bag and tail pack, enough space for a week in Scotland. Both fit the bike properly / securely, look good and are very practical.
You'd be welcome to borrow them for your trip if you collect from Suffolk ?

Thanks for the more than generous offer, I wont take you up on it though as I don't like borrowing stuff, just in case.

But think that's the option I'm going to go for, larger tank bag though I think.

Who do you think you are? Jack Reacher?

The advantage of the bike specific bags isn't that they are pretty well thought out with respect to fixing straps.

I think the drybag was from Bags Connection. I bought it at the NEC a couple years back. I had used an Aldi drybag for £7 which was good, but had to be loaded from the end, which was a pain. The bags connection one opens fully across the top, which makes it really easy to find your favourite pants!

It has 4 straps, so I attached the front 2 to the footrest hangers, and the rear 2 to the subframe under the pillion seat.

This is the Aldi bag, which I bungied to the pillion seat loops.

Fontana, Givi don't list a fitting for the 11s but the spacing looked so similar to the spacing on my GS I just had to try it - not tried it with the bag fitted - being offset might play havoc!!!
