I've just had my Technoflex shocks reconditioned but they seem ot have come back set up for a 55 stone German who soley rides on glass surfaces in straight lines. I didn't note my settings (stupidly) before I sent them away.
Does anyone have any starting settings (specifically preload) for a 14 stone doing brisk road riding please.
The back is easy enough to piss about with but the preload on the front will be a bitch when fitted

Jason,
The rear preload loaded sag should be about 35mm, static sag about 10mm.
As regards the front, then sorry. I have asked a few suspension guys regarding front sag and as it is a shock and not forks they don't know.
If you want to go to MHRacing in Wiltshire, they do an excellent job setting suspension up, for not a lot of money as well.

Thanks very much Andrew - I've done the rear and it sounds (well feels!) about right now. I'm just going to fit the front today but want to set the preload before fitting as it's a pain after. I think I'll just count the rings on the back and set it the same hoping the two are matched.
Thanks again
Jason
