Several years ago some members worked up a group buy for ti axles. I failed to participate, and have had non-buyers remorse ever since. I did buy a ti axle nut from Pack-Parts about that time, and have been very satisfied with the result. I live very close to the sea, and the stock axle nut looked like shite, having to paint it frequently. The ti nut is a piece of art, and stays beautiful no matter what. I shoulda replaced the whole assembly when it was happening......
Q. Can someone provide me with their ti axle experience, and any problems? There is some contraversy about this, I understand.
Q. Any ideas where I may be able to get one?
It looks like I'll have my old girl forever, and I wanna treat her to that last little bit of the good stuff.
Thank You.

Well the story goes like this Bob (Boxerdog) was looking for people for a group buy on stainless steel front wheel spindles,Boxerpan and myself decideded that we wouldn't lower ourselves and said it's Ti or nothing,so good old Bob got a very good man to make them, includeing the nut,to be honest putting them on the bike was nothing short of criminal, they were an absolute work of art and should have gone in a glass case and hung on the wall!!!!
Can't even remember how much they were, was it 200 quid each?? or something like that, then Boxerpan had another rush of blood to the head and sent to Pack Parts for two lots of rears, money no object!!! those were the days e'h!!!!!
