I know this is not related to r110s, bmw's or even bikes.....
but I'm stuck..... maybe someone can enlighten me....
I have 2 seat inca (vw caddy) vans, one with a ropey engine, and the other had the bonnet come up on the motorway..... but had a 10k recon.
So I dropped both subframes, and put the good body on the good engine, and the rest is to be scrapped.
engine and box etc has not been adjusted, just disconnect earth strap and plug on front of engine ( that has fuel solenoid, glow plugs etc) and starter wires....
but would not start.... someone said make sure it has loads of diesel.... now has 1/2 a tank.
Today I clacked injector 1 and towed it through the farm a few times, about 6 miles in all, engine was warm.... but would not run!!
there wasn't a lot of diesel round the injector.... do you think there should be???
any ideas what I've missed.... ????
John
not r1100s related..... but technical!!

You'll need to bleed the diesel pump....usually by means of a rubber hand pump somehere near the diesel pump under the bonnet. Basically when you either run out of diesel or disconnect the supply( letting in air) you get a blockage. This should hopefully sort your problem.
Failing that... ensure you have a very well charged battery and plenty of volts on the injectors otherwise the glow plugs won't warm up properly.

Have you checked that you have power to the fuel shut off solenoid on the injector pump?
