Brake upgrade

Postby stevetoxic » Sat Mar 27, 2004 8:01 am

Hi,
My bikes done nearly 15000 miles and is still on the original disc pads/brake hoses. Whats the best brand/source of replacements.

If you had an unlimited budget what brake upgrades would you make, anyone fitted calipers from a late model sports bike with good results :?: :?:

Steve.

Goodrich hoses (or any similar manufacturer) make a difference to any machines braking imho.
AP calipers are the way to go if you have more moey than you know what to do with :!: Tony Smith had some PVM calipers with cast iron discs on the S he sold last year but found that the discs wore at an amazing rate and then warped

As Lloyd has already said, you can either go PVM or AP neither are cheap but good things never are,and he forgot to tell you he's just about to have some fitted, AP's that is!!!!!!!!!.

I was hoping to stop in time assuming that brick walls wouldn't enter the equation
