The Pan has its parallels with your workhorse as far as my bikes go, point taken  Far better to have more than one bike in the shed then you don't get bored; Workhorse V4 , Pretty Quick V4 , and quirky twin. Covers most bases whatever mood I'm in. Just need a nice two stroke for those Condor moments :)

With the GS' rear seat removed one can comfortably carry two cases of wine and a 24 pack of beer on the platfom without issue

Its useful stuff like that the dont tell you in the dealers!

GS

I had an 1100Gs for a while and it was a great bike.

If your looking for an 1100, get a post 1997 one cos the earlier ones have gearbox problems which were rectified in 1997.

Mine was a '94 and under acceleration she'd momentarily spit out of 3rd gear...The previous owner spent over £600 to get it fixed but it's a hit or miss job. the only answer is a newer gearbox.

Appart from that great build quality....

I'm actually looking for a GS myself

Hope this helps :D
