Im struggling to find a possible short cut
on my R11S electrics so at this moment
i am checking the ignition switch relay which is this
( i hope)
I tested it with the polymeter and it is working and clicking fine.
So i desited to check the corresponding fuse box position also.
This is the diagram showing how the relay is working .
According to this i checked the fuse box position's
These are the results
Ignition OFF
30-86b 12.44 volt
30-87. 12.44
30-86 12.44
30-85 0.01
Ignition ONN
30-86b 12.31 volts
30-87 0.03
30-86 12.3
30-85 0.01
The 30-87 position is where the circuit closes
and with the ignition key to on position there is no voltage
Is this normal ?
As it is obvious i know very little about electric circuit so any help would be most appreciated.

What are the symptoms of the electrical failure you are trying to diagnose? Will the bike not start, or is there some other issue?

You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

At first it didn't start ,just a clicking noise at the starter button and no turning of the starter, at all.
After several attempts it finally started
just like it was everything all right.
I replaced the starter solenoid
as i have posted in here
and problem solved for a week or so ..
I was out on a ride and parked in a busy road
to buy some stuff from a motorcycle store
came back ,try to start the bike ,pressed the starting button and nothing at all .
No clicking noise , nothing .
Checked the side stunt ,checked the green neutral light in the dush board
and then i realised that im in problem.
I pushed the bike in gear tried again and nothing.
I started to shake the cables
that was powering the starter , no luck.
After an hour or so
I decided that it was time to call the tow truck .
I made the call and as i was waiting and thinking about the whole procedure the delay,the straps and the mess
i pressed the starter button one last time ..
It fired up like there's nothing wrong.
After bringing it home i checked the starter with a multimeter and i had a reading of 12.3 Volt's on the casing of the starter.
I had no low beam , high beam ,dush light, flashing lights .
I had parking lights
I also have a reading of 12.3 Volt's constantly on the wire that connects the starter button with the starter solenoid , and the stop light is also constantly on .
I dismantled completely both handle bars and lube them ,so now i have low beam, dush light and the bike start's ,i have ignition
(but i still have 12.3 volts , constantly, i don't know if this is normal) and no flash light high beam or horn and the stop light steady on !
The left handle bar seems to be off !
After several attempts it finally started

Ignoring all the other problems for a moment what voltage do you have across the battery terminals ? ( with the ignition off) It sounds like your battery voltage is possibly too low . The no load voltage across the battery terminals should be at least 12.6v . (12.3 in the wiring loom seems a tad too low This could cause the symptoms in the first paragraph above . If the battery is ok , then you need to find where the voltage drop is in the wiring loom, easy for me to say while sitting at my key board...! If not put the battery on charge and see if everything improves.

From the fault description I'd have said starter motor itself (I know you've replaced the solenoid, but that's not usually common practice with this type of starter, which is essentially the same as on a car), or a bad engine earth, however...
If you can replicate the fault, it should be fairly straightforward to diagnose. Start with a voltage drop test between battery negative and the body of the starter whilst attempting to crank, and also between the positive terminal and the positive connection on the solenoid, then the same, but the other side of the solenoid. Should be well under 1 volt for all measurements.

The battery is new and the bike sturts up easily now.
The problems now is that the left handlebar is not working, plus the stop light is steady on
and now the clock has disappeared also..
Tomorrow i have an appointment for a service.
I will come back with the results.

Was there not an issue with the 11S, or at least some, whereby the loom from the ignition switch was a bit stretched up front leading to damaged wires and weird and wonderful electrical symptoms? Sure I recall summit along these lines

Yes, you are correct Mike. Try taking off the front fairing panels and checking the wires which are cable tied to the front sub frame. Signs of blue/green corrosion on the black insulation tape are a tell tail that you have a potential worn through wire running from the coffin shaped fuse boxes. if you find a broken wire you just need to splice in a replacement section.

Problem solved.
I had checked the wire's
that come in touch with the fairing panels in the front sub frame , which are associated
with the 4 fuses
because I had similar problems several years ago but no luck .
The problem was at the left handlebar wiring .
This wiring connects the left handlebar switches up to the left side fuse box ,the big one.
The think is, that the mechanic didn't cut out any piece of the wiring
but instead he just removed the insulation and separated all the wires .
Then he gave them a good stretch
and some ..massage
and then put them on
after lubing the connection point
at the left fuse box and the corresponding pin.
And that's it!
The interesting thing is that i had 3 malfunctions at the same time !
The starter solenoid , the right and left handlebar and the stop light think.
I assume that ,the starter solenoid wad just about to happen.
The right handlebar problem(no lights) ,might be associated with the African dust ,that had dropped with the resent rain falls.
A good cleaning and lubing solved the problem.
As for the stop light i solved the problem with the exact same method of stretching and massaging.!
