Scrapping

Postby Chris Lane » Wed Sep 05, 2018 4:55 pm

Does anyone know the correct procedure for scrapping a bike these days? I know with a car you either take it to a scrap yard or get ASM to collect, but either way you get issued with a 'certificate of scrappage' which you then have to post to DVLA as proof. These certificate don't apply to bikes, so any ideas?

The plan would be to strip off the parts I want to keep, sell the parts that are worth selling, and junk what's left.

I'm pretty sure you can just take the frame down to the scrap yard otherwise you could take it to a breakers I'm sure they would deal with it
