Count me in on that!

The only thing I'd want to be 100% sure of on that nipple is the thread pitch. Its shown as 1.0 (the M8 one you linked to was 1.25) - I don't know much about (anything! ) brakes and fittings, and it may be that all calipers have the same thread pitch for a given size of nipple, but it would be fairly easy I bet to mess up the thread if you're not careful!

Just replaced with Goodridge braided, eazy peazy job

Fitted stainless nipple, taken the caliper off, forced the pads back and wedged them open, switched on the ignition, pressed the pedal and fluid squirted out---goody. After several loosening of the nipple and pressing the brake pedal sessions, there seems to be air coming out, but no fluid, what am I doing wrong?

Well, I've done it. after a lot of faffing about and doubting my abilities, I've actually sorted the blasted thing and it works. So thanks for the advice and guidance. Who would ever believe that I am, or rather was, a qualified motorcycle engineer, but I had a breakdown quite a few years ago and it kinda sapped all my confidence (points and carbs are fine but technotrickery is a complete blind spot). So thanks again for helping this eejit avoid a catastophe
