Good morning Gentlemen
i am thinking of getting a set of lennies sprockets fitted to the 1100s
two questions the plus points of the upgrade and the negative points.
Does the engine run a tad hotter? does the tick over become erratic?
any other points?
i would like your angle on this subject before i commit
cheers keithy6868

Mine runs just fine no hotter than before fitting
Honestly i can't fault them my bike seems to run smoother with them fitted
Tick over is fine
More mid range grunt
Downside is possibly a small loss of top end right at the red line
Fit them i don't think you'll regret it my bike will pull from 2000 revs in top two up in top on a level road with little complaint and pull smoothly from 2500 revs on the same road you will find that you will be changing gear less often throughout every journey
Hope this helps Dai

keith,
the sprockets help smooth the engine vibration, remove a dip in power delivery around 4,000 rpms and move the peak torque 800 to 1,000 rpms lower.
this all allows you to run a gear higher and not rev the engine as much to get to that torque thus reducing the amount of fuel used. this in itself will help offset or pay for the sprockets over time. not all people get improved fuel consumption as they like the result and use the throttle more vigorously anyways.
email me here if you are interested or just order at my site. you wont regret the upgrade.

Can't say I've noticed a reduction in fuel consumption but it's certainly a much nicer/livelier bike to ride. I'd recommend them. Just make sure the person who fits them knows what they're doing, as you may not be as fortunate as I was in getting two goes.

hello Keith
The sprockets are a good addition, I didn`t notice any downsides to them, bike didn`t run hotter, tick over was just fine etc.
What I did notice was an improvement in responce, made the bike feel more alive if that makes sense, there was a slight improvement in fuel economy also.
All in all a worthwhile upgrade....

Yeah, hello Dave. Pulled a few bits off the bike and settled it down for its winter hibernation and kind of forgot about motorcycling for a bit. Just ordered new pads and I'm painting fork lowers again, then it'll be ready to roll.
