Panniers

Does anyone have a set of panniers and brackets for the R1100s they wish to sell ?

I have panniers that are about to go on ebay but no rails. They went with with the bike.

Not had too much response for this one so I assume everyone wants to keep/use their panniers. What other panniers would fit the s. There is a guy on e-bay selling a set that fit the R models but he is unsure if they would fit the s brackets. Can anyone shed any light on what alternative BM panniers would fit the pannier brackets for the s.

I would hazard a guess that you can fit others to the S as mine are BMW touring panniers but they are different on each side, one has a cutout perhaps for an exhaust - not sure the vendor was entirely honest with me but I'm not really bothered as when I use them they are fine.

Best bet would be to take the bike along and try em first for fit.

GIVI do a set but their rails are not as nice as the BM ones.

If its for a planned trip I can lend you mine provided dates don't clash with my as yet unconfirmed august runabout.

You'd have to pick em up though

Panniers to suit the S are also the same as fitted to RS/RT 1100/1150, The panniers from a GS or R will fit but the L/H one is smaller due to the cutout for the upswept exhaust on these.

Thanks. Also thanks Abe for the offer of a loan. I'm not planning any specific touring just yet but might later in the year so am looking into the prospect of making a purchase. The guy on e-bay bought the panniers that fits the R bikes and as he has a GS they are no good as one has to be smaller to accomodate the exhaust. From what I can understand these should be ok for the S brackets though. I thought as much when I saw his ad so I should have made a bid. I'll check to se if they are still on the site.
