cracking county, yappy terrier and excellent pudding.
will be in leeds this weekend to visit mate who has just procured (despite the sage advice of this board) a 2000 VFR800i as his first bike...
will be interesting to compare as I nearly bought one but chose the S instead (cos BMW Park Lane gave us coffee in nice matching cups and sorted the finance on the CS)
anyway, any northern types advise on any nice roads and anything to avoid and will any of you be out and about this weekend?
Ade.

Ade,
Yorkshire is a big place with lots of good roads (and plenty to avoid!!) Could be out Sat or Sun depending on what you want to do. When are you coming up,Going home? If you have time the Yorkshire TT (Helmsley to Stokesley) is well worth the effort and coupled with a ride over the moors will put a grin on your face.
Peter.

Box on't Back will be in Val D'Isere on Saturday so the Helmsley TT could be undertaken on Sunday? Will probably be on the "K" though as the "S" is in need of a new rear hoop!!!

P.S Ferry is (expensively) booked to include meals

The wife's got a hair appt early Saturday afternoon, but I could 'probably' make Helmsley later in the afternoon for a meet.
Sunday's also a possible - any time at the moment. Maybe even Hawes on Sunday. Anyone know if the 684 is open now? It was closed due to flooding somewhere after Leyburn towards Hawes.

I get a weekend pass and mate is off work with flu and its forecast showers for't weekend...
Have pep talked him into getting better.. will find out tomorrow lunch time if he's up for it, gentle flower that he is.
If I was picking up a new bike on saturday, it would take serious illness/injury to keep me in bed..
Not knowing the score - what time and where would you normally meet - if I am there I am there.

Anyway, I'd like to try a ride out if anyone drops me a line.

Well, she was quite late back, I'd have had a real hurry on to get there, but then the hailstones kind of put me off.
Hope you guys met up ok and didn't get too cold and wet.
Anyone know the forecast for tomorrow morning instead?
