I wish, spent all my money on mobile self contained accommodation that I got to use last night for the first time since we met for coffee in Towecester last October.

Not new, but last year I bought my Suzuki DRZ 400 SM back from the chap I sold it to !!

Got it with a complete set of new plastics, but not charging !!

Found the stator coils had failed, to buy new from Suzuki E450

Off Ebay from China E12 including postage , ordered a set, fitted them , charging perfect , but not revving , splutter and bugger about.
Re-fit the original, rev perfect ?

Contact seller, no problem will send another, meantime I'd found another seller on ebay, also ex china also E12 .
I'd ordered them by the time original seller acknowledged and was sending replacement.

The second one I ordered arrived, I fitted them, No Start
Fortunately the next day the replaced one arrived, fitted this one, worked perfectly !!!

So, although I spent E25, I've saved E425 and the bony is out and running perfectly again !!!

It also has Spanish plates, so all perfectly legal now too .

Last week , 3 rides on the SM, and one 90mile ride 2 up with g/f .

Bought a CX500 1981 after looking for months. Really happy with it and the associate nostalgia.
As my wife says 'Its even got a proper seat!'

I've been lusting after a Honda CB500X since I took a test ride in early 2020 but with still severely limited travel and the passage of time I'm finding my DL 250 a very capable bike (if a little lacking on motorways which I generally keep away from) and generally just unwilling to commit to anything at the moment.. Also, my go to bike shop of recent years appears to be succumbing to the Brexit effect ( no longer economic to source used bikes )
In the meantime I managed to spend 4 days over a recent bank holiday weekend painting the internal walls of my garage and generally tidying up which allowed me to permanently remove over 20 shelf brackets and associated shelving.....

Bought a new one as old one was nicked. Old one was bought as lockdown therapy which it provided amply. Would never have looked at a new one unless something fatal happens to the old girl. Confession, I’m actually pleased to have graduated to the next iteration of GS. Still no ABS. It goes and stops very well.

Nice work Loz. So is it a 1200? It hasn't really happened until we see the pictures.

Paul

***edit: just seen the other thread with pictures...
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.
