Hi All
Whilst it is probably only the longer term members of this great forum who knew him it is with great sadness that I have to say that Alan (BMWR1150rs) passed away last night. He fought a long & hard battle with cancer but it just became to much in the end.He had many great friends here who provided much support and I can only thank you all for this. Not much more I can say right now.

Peter.

Hi Peter

so very saddened to hear this, Alan was a lovely person and i feel priviledged to have met him. So very positve in his fight against such an awful illness.

I can only imagine the loss you're feeling, if I can do anything to ease that loss do not hesitate to ask.

Very best regards,

Steve

Hello Peter,
It was good to see you both in Jedburgh last year, sorry to hear about Alan.
I remember following Alan at the first Boxertrix weekend I went to in Moffat and following him thinking how composed his riding was whilst moving at the pace he was.
My condolences,
Simon.

Hi Peter,
We are so sorry to hear of Alans passing.
Met & rode with you both on a few occasions but we will always cherish our memories of the time you & Alan were on holiday and went out of your way to come & visit Gail and I when we were living in rural France.

Our thoughts are with you,
Gail & Rob.

Peter,

Please accept my deepest and most sincere condolences. Alan was a lovely guy and will be sadly missed by us all.

I managed to find a picture from one of our first visits to Chateau Flash, which I guess you must have pressed the button on, since you are not in the frame.

If there is anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to ask.

Paul

Hi Peter - I don't frequent the forum much these days, but Paul texted me last night with this sad news.

So sorry to hear of Alan's passing, and of course wish you strength and what will be a terribly difficult time. Alan was very high on my list of truly great people to have known over the years, and wherever he is now they'll all be enjoying his particularly dry brand of wit and just great company.

If you do fancy a bit of time-out you know we're not too far from you.
