Not sure there's been a Bank Holiday weekend like it, in north Wales, for a long time, 5 serious or fatal motorcycle accidents since Friday
NW Police are going to be on a mission

Suspected it was a bad one. Took the East Lancs and part of it is closed so ran over my 4.5 hours driving time. Nearly time to go.

Gosh that is remarkable! For sure the Police will be on one and for good reason. It is really hard to get your head round this, 5 geezers say there see you later`s to loved ones, get on their pride and joy and exit stage left. I was down in Wales a couple of weeks ago and witnessed a bunch of middle to old age mcyclists behaving like they were on crack or something. Is it something they are putting in the fuel?
sad.

Wow we were out that weekend got to Bala and decided to sack Snowdonia off because there were tons of bikes heading that way, we went to Vernwy saw about 5 bikes and clear roads.
They head for North Wales and go nuts worst offenders seem to be older blokes on Hinkley Triples.

as an update it appears not as straight forward as it initially looks
Fatality one near Wrexham was a guy who apparently went flat out through a red light and a car turned in front of him.
Fatality two near Bala was a guy who stopped to alleviate cramp and lost his balance falling into the path of a car
Fatality three was from a collision with two bikes, one died the other walked away
Serious incident one was a fluke from a Triumph TR7 overshooting a bend on a b road and colliding with a bike leaving two seriously injured.
Not found details of the 5th one yet
Just hoping that with the weather again being awesome this weekend it can be incident free

If anyone is traveling up the A5 this weekend beware I drove up to Ruabon for work and saw numerous plain cars parked up along the route with a plain police bike sitting in a side road.

I suppose if bikers are going to keep crashing on welsh roads the local 5 o will have to put in a presence ( big presence )
it does seem to be a thing with the triumph triples.. I'm lucky enough to own two bikes..( no kids ) the f 800 gt and a street triple, the thing is that one seems to make one grow horns ... mmmmmm must behave. Happy, safe riding everyone.
