Bluetooth intercoms.

Anyone here use a Bluetooth intercom?

Typical of the guys I ride with, they all seem to have gone different directions with coms. One has a cardo, one a uclear, and a couple with cheapo unbranded units from eBay, ironically, the only people who can speak to each other are the cheap skates. The cardo and uclear don't seem to be able to connect to anything else.

What do people use? I would want to talk to others, so compatibility is the highest concern. Not interested in music, but would probably be nice to hear my sat nag, and talk on the phone on rare occasions, so should be able to connect to multiple accessories.

Mines from Aldi and works just fine with 'phone, (aldi) satnag and as an intercom. They always have them in the spring

We use Interphone units which have superb sound quality, although I no longer connect to my riding buddies 'cos I don't want to listen to their inane banter.
I have mine paired to my Garmin Zumo, and also my phone is paired to the Zumo too, so I can make and receive calls if required, which makes it handy to contact straddlers/ lost souls. Having my phone's contact list appear on the Zumo screen is brilliant. Most of my mates have upgraded to the Interphone F5, which can connect up to 6 riders, but I will stick to my F4 unit 'cos it does everything that I want.
I also have an Interphone Tribe unit, which is a bluetooth PMR radio, this will pair with any bluetooth headset, so no cables/wires to get in the way, and it will patch into any other PMR channel that your mates may be using. Actually this is for sale as I haven't used it for a while if any one is interested?

My RoSPA group use radios, I have been thinking about this route for a while too.

I use the autocom air, as I didn't want a piece stuck on side of helmet. Nice and slim.

That is the only good thing about it, fiddly to use, doubtful battery life, I had the wired autocom which was excellent, this is not a touch on it .

Buy something else

I think I paid £95 for it, so how does £60 delivered sound?

Sorry Dave, not with you. 'New' what? Are you talking about the Scala SHO-1 for the Neotec?

Got to be honest I have a scala 4 on one helmet and the scala SRC on my Schuberth and they are both crap.
I am on my 3rd SRC due to the headphones stopping working, the radio is abysmal on the SRC, not so bad on the Scala 4 but still not good considering the cost of both.
I am looking at alternatives as I won't buy another Scala

new Sena system 1OU with remote on handlebars and all controls clipping into the helmet - no velcro or screws involved

Very interesting Gavin, was just looking at those for the same reason of slimness .
Does it communicate with other systems as may wife has Neotec with integrated Sena 10U ?
