Farewell too

I've let my R1100S go to a new member so after nearly 2 years and 11,000 miles I'll be sorry to see it go but it's to a great new owner who will no doubt be on here. I'll be hanging around too. I'd love an 1200S one day but for now it's going to be an Aprilia Tuono Gen 1.
Thanks for the help and companionship. :cat:

Have you bought the Tuono yet?

Pics and report if / when you do.

Let's hope this new owner treats the old gal in the way she became accustomed under her previous owners Steve. Enjoy the Tuono mate.

Great to see someone actually using their bike,
Seems to be a cardinal sin these days

I lowered the gearing a little on mine made a big improvement, but could have gone lower, iirc it's geared for 184mph in its original Mille guise. Enjoy your new steed [smilie=bike.gif]

The Tuono is a bike for Men who eat iron filings for breakfast.

You should try to get hold of a Tigcraft system for it - I had one on my Milles - it'll make the Arrow seem over-silenced! :D

That looks very clean, keep us informed how you get on with it. Is the front fairing standard? I thought these came out as a naked bike? Will be well made and by all accounts the V4 Tuono is an excellent bike. Personally I could not live with loud pipes. I agree they are embarrassing.

Good luck.

I am the soon to be new owner of Steves R1100S.Really looking forward to a "new" generation BMW.
Just like to say that the bike is in top condition and a credit to Steve.

I have put my old R80 up for sale and if anyone out there is interested let me know.

Its not a V4 - its a 'Tuoldo' according to the Tuono forum - an old un.
Standard bikini fairing but someones upgraded the suspension to ohlins all round - which is where I've found the best investment lies. particularly after skiddys wilbers set on the S.
