As per the title it was announced today that itv will no longer be showing the highlights on a Monday night, no info on reason but it could also impact on coverage of WSB as that is owned by Dorna too. Bt customers will have to pay an extra £3.50 a month as it not free anymore to watch moto gp.

Is it still as before where you get coverage if you subscribe to BT broadband?

No Dave

BT said it would be free and then after 12 months they started charging for it.
I voted with my wallet and moved landline, broadband and mobile all over to EE and saved £30 a month.
Still no Moto GP though if ITV4 are not doing highlights.

I don't have BT sport anymore (changed from virgin to sky recently) so whats the best way to view Moto GP now? Ive firestick with Kodi on it so I guess that's an option but no way to record and watch it at my leisure.

Can you buy a season long moto gp pass to watch it on line? Anyone done it?

If you have sky you can piggyback bt sport onto your package, not sure exactly how much now but was £5 month. There is a Moto gp pass not sure how you'd record it though.

Just reminded me that I'd received an email saying the free BT Sport I'd been given with my recent BT TV subscription was to be chargeable in August, as it's mostly football (and I loathe football) I've cancelled it.

They of course did an "account" review .. with unlimited phone/bb/tv essentials package I'm paying £56 pcm which if I agreed to being contracted for 24 months they'd reduce to £53 (woooo a whole £3) ..... I respectively refused :) Would rather keep my options open.

Tried to get me to change to BT Mobile (but as it's on the EE network, the signals not good up here, whereas as recently I've been getting 4G with O2) just said it was a company mobile and they stopped pushing.

So happily an overpaid footballer won't be getting a minute part of my £42 pa :D

Amazing, id had a letter from bt asking if I'd like to renew my tv for 24 months I'd get a 25% discount, hmmm was my first thought but I do watch MotoGP and I like the unlimited relatively fast fibre broadband so I called them up, what a surprise not only did I get the tv deal but she offered to renew my phone/line rental and broadband for the same introductory offer I got last January
All in £36.99 a month for 18 months, result

I believe you plug it into the back of a tv assuming the tv had got USB port and it connects to the tinteret so you can watch tv progs, simples

You can of cause also light fires with a fire stick

It's a device that adds to a normal TV giving it features found on Smart TV's

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Amazon-Fire-TV ... B00KAKUN3E

The software can be "flashed" (overwritten) with alternative (such as Kodi https://kodi.tv/download/ ) that allows access to provide free access to many pay per view sites I believe. They plug into a spare HDMI socket on the TV

Ian has one John, ask him to elaborate on Thursdays steak night

45 years in IT, and I'd no idea what the f*** a firestick is, other than for lighting bonfires.

I have a Kodi box hooked to my internet router in my apartment in Spain.

I love it , we surf through the different programmes streaming the Moto GP , and World Superbikes , looking for who has the best coverage.

Spanish TV stations seem to be the best , and even if you don't understand every thing Rossi is Rossi in any language .

I love it .

As far as recording goes, use a hard drive , and then just fast forward to the races .

Yes, but to state the bleedin obvious, a firestick only connects you to the internet using the tv then, instead of using my laptop.
Still doesn't mean you can watch MotoGP without paying for a BT sport subscription.

And I've already got a smart TV but I can't get it to connect to the World Wide Wait with it.
And guess what, you can't even connect a querty keyboard, or a mouse to it so it is worse than useless at being web connected, you have to use the remote - what kind of dumb idea is that.
No it doesn't have a touch screen and pop up keyboard like my laptop does.
Computer/PC/TV shop wouldn't take it back as "not fit for purpose" when I found out.
F'***ing software engineers - nothing ever works properly without fudging it.
Glad proper engineers build cars, bikes, bridges and aeroplanes etc.

Rant over...... for now!

Suppose I could always try Al's Crickfree again with the firewall cranked up to max.

Dazed & confused

And
It's possible that there is an App for "your smart phone" to connect to your tv that will give you a querty keyboard, but I can't help you with your not so smart TV not connecting to the interweb John
