Evening all, long time since I've posted up here but I've had a search around the forum (and the interweb) and, probably due to my lack of searching skills, have been unsuccessful.

Can anyone tell me what brake discs I need for the front of a 2004 BCR (RWB model). Part number would be good, link would be ideal- it seems I get conflicting info from different sellers, so not sure what to go with, but would love to get some soon and at least catch a bit of the summer on it.

My bike has bad brake judder and came with 3 sets of discs, newest were a set of Hekkane ones fitted April this year and not done many miles - they looked new. all of them are no good, bad brake judder.

So my local shop recommended EBC discs and pads - I've ordered them and insisted I want warranty with them so hes fitting them. £ 250ish with sintered pads + fitting - I can get them on ebay for £200 with pads but I want some comeback if the issue is still there.

I think these are the ones you need

I've used ebc also and they'e good too.

Use your frame number on this website and you'll get an oem number.
I think your bike should be the 320mm discs in the carpi moto link.

Edit.. 4.5mm seems to be oe thickness but these are 5mm . I 've fitted 4.5 and 5mm over the years with no apparent problems...
Available with bobbins and wavy washers too if needed

My 2002 has terrible brake judder under heavy braking when I bought it, and that had been fitted with new aftermarket discs. Checked the discs for flatness and thickness and could find no obvious fault so I fitted new button springs because they also had a bit of a rattle. This fixed the rattle but not the judder.
I bought the softest compound brake pads I could find and put them on, it helped with the judder so I braved it out and over time it faded away gradually.

same brake judder here.
front brake discs look ok, but the bike came with sintered pads.
my colegues told me that they could be the problem.
the metal inside the compound is moving along in time and the pad is no longer touching the disc completly.
sorry if my english is not perfect but english is not my native language.
now i'll go to introduce myself in the proper manner and place.

I reckon one of my bikes would benefit from a change of pads - some pads/discs are simply not compatible.

Watch out for those sintered pads over winter - if you plan on laying the bike up over winter, either remove the pads, or slip a piece of plastic (packaging plastic) between pads and discs - to prevent galvanic action (localised pitting) between the pads and the discs.

Hey! How come Coobra's avatar is bigger then mine?????
