I've gone and done it

Despite the warnings from this forum and my own head I've gone a bought a K1300GT

After riding a K5 GSXR1000 for two hours in the rain yesterday to get there. I took the K1300GT out for a spin and decided I just had to have one. So easy to ride fast on B roads, comfortable on the motorway and surprisingly well balanced at slow speeds.

It's got ESA, ASC, Heated Seats, Cruise Control, Sat Nav, Alarm etc, so lots to go wrong but it comes with a one year BMW warranty that will get extended. I pick it up on Saturday so no more trains for me from next week.

You buy a bike with your heart - not your head.

They are deceptively quick, I believe - and will tour anywhere.

Enjoy it!

If I am ever on life support - Unplug me......
Then plug me back in..........

See if that works .....

Awesome! You're going to love it, they're incredibly quick. 1st gear is a bit clunky but performance, braking, handling and comfort are fantastic. There's a reason I've kept mine since 2007 and that is I've tried some of the competition in the same class and they've all disappointed so far :D
