Hi guys, I have just bought a K1200R and I want to go on the forums for them. I presume a few of you Boxer owners have had the K1200 bikes as well. What are the best ones especially UK based.

Thanks!

Lol! I just meant this place is great for BMW Boxers but I bet there are a lot of you who have or have had a K1200R/S.

Any suggestions for that? I found K-bikes.com but it's a U.S. site. Looking for a good local one as well.

Thanks.

although you don't own a k4x bike ...... they own you, your bank account and any and all future earnings you maybe foolish enough to earn, with a lien on the future income of your offspring too :D

You can ease the pain slightly by ensuring it has BMW Extended warranty ... .a MUST have as K's are complex beasts with many very very expensive parts .... rear ESA £2000, ABS pump £1400, instrument console £900, throttle bodies £500, radiator £500 ..... trust me I know :)

The warranty, including europe wide recovery, is about £36 per month, and is well worth having, in reality I couldn't afford to own my K without it as mine is a bit like Triggers broom, even so I love it to bits as it's a fantastic bike and suits me well (fast, comfortable n flawed) :).

What Steve P said, the K13S seems a bit more reliable but so far very pleased we have the warranty
