Strokers are fab.

My closet bike is a Night Rod.

Goes for a shower.

To be fair I should probably say my current bike. I'm about half the required age for a BMW!

The only two strokes mentioned are desirable ones , so i'll start off with (I do own an Mz but it doesn't embarrass me.. ) Jawa 350... if only to kick it into gear at the lights without my hand on the clutch lever. I did actually look at one for sale recently , it keeps popping up for sale again with a lower price  I might be forced to buy it soon

When I came back to bikes in jan 1997, I bought a Yamaha Virago 535, affectionately known in the biking press as a tart's handbag. It had leather saddlebags and I thought it was the bees whiskers.

I did a bit of touring on it and it never missed a beat but the upright sitting position gave me horrendous backache.

My boss at the time had a Gixer and he took me to pick it up. While I was fawning over the Virago he was looking decidedly embarrassed to be seen with me.

One of these:

1930 Henderson Art Deco Streamliner.

Only a handful still in existence. Worth $^3.

But since I can't have one of those I'm getting this instead:

A '90's interpretation of the Henderson. Built around a Gold Wing.

Hence it's a Gold Wing Streamliner. Only one ever made. Waiting for me at a nearby bike museum while it goes through MoT approval.

I think the builder drew inspiration from this: 1938 Delahaye 135MS Torpedo Roadster:

Will have to acquire the appropriate Charles Lindberg aviator attire, naturally. With matching aviator style sunglasses. 8)

Feeling very chuffed.

That KTM must weigh about half a tonne now.

What a pointless waste.
