Bike lift

Anyone use one of these to lift their R12S ?
Just wondering if they're any good and how stable the bike is when both wheels are off the deck.

While I'm here fishing can anyone recommend a tank pad for a colgate coloured bike. One that doesn't cost £30 ...

I have one of these and it is a very good piece of kit.

Use it on the R11S and Bonnie and they are both secure as long as you make sure to get the supports in the right place.

I remove the additional mini-support shown in the picture and it works well. Not sure on the R12S though - sorry!

Thanks for that horse27,
The one in the pic is a Machine Mart one for £105.73 Although you can get much the same on fleabay 320253981258 for £74 delivered.

I must admit I'm tempted considering the price they want for other stands.

yep - got mine direct from Machine Mart ... it weighs a ton so the next day delivery was impressive ... Me-109 has the same (he suggested it to me in the first place) ... I got the little seat at the same time:

very handy and saves a bit of back ache for a tenner.

Yep indeedy. If the bottom of the 12S engine is anything like flat that should work well. Obviously get the bellypan out of the way first if you happen to have one fitted.

I've got a similar seat too, but the round one with the gas height adjust on it. http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/cms2-height-adjustable-mechanics-seat Doesn't get much use, but is handy at times.

I've a local store so don't need to worry about delivery, but I concur - it weighs a tonne. Well, about 45Kg or something.[/url]

I've got one very similar to this - bought it from M&P when I had my Harley Steetrod. Works a dream on the 11S (thanks to its flat engine underside) and is more than stable enough.

Here you go...
