HJ,
Funeral is'nt until the 28th. I'm sure Eon will be in everyones thoughts next weekend when "Boxertrix" invades Wales. Still hoping to make it to the funeral but it all depends upon work.
Peter.

James,
I have only just caught up with the messages on the thread and whilst l did not meet your father, like others I am sure that I have read or even exchanged comments through various threads.
There is a belief that bad news comes in threes and earlier today I learnt that two work colleagues had suddenly passed away, one this morning and one last week. Both, like your father is being remembered, were wonderful people and a pleasure to be with.
Why do the good die young .............
Peter

So when is this 'Old enough to know better' supposed to kick in?

Okay chaps - here's a message from James about of Eon's Funeral.
It will take place at Bishopthorpe Crematorium. Bishopthorpe Road, York YO23 2QD at 11.00 am on Monday 28th April and there will be a reception afterwards at the Parsonage Country House Hotel, Escrick, York, YO19 6LF
www.parsonagehotel.co.uk
which all attending the funeral are invited to. I hope to see you all there, and that those going to the Wales Rideout have a safe and enj[/col[/color]or]oyable trip.
We can discuss arrangements in Wales but how about we meet at Squires at about 10.20 and ride-up together? It'll take 15-20 minutes riding?

Hi all
Well, the Funeral was today and Pete, Stoney and myself attended from Boxertrix.
As expected Eon's family are lovely and the service and reception were special.
Whilst on the Welsh BOXERTRIX weekend, owing to the wonderful generosity of everyone there we managed to raise bang on £200 in a collection for Eon's family / charity etc.
I spoke with James yesterday and asked that when they felt inclined, maybe they could discuss what they would like to do with our contribution. Today Jame's mum asked if it would be possible to put the moneyy towards a bench at Squires in Sherburn. She also asked me to approach the owner to see if it's possible. The bench will be inscribed also and I'll try hard to think of something concise and appropriate.
Some guys from the Ducati Forum were also there and have offerred to contribute, however Ive not yet taken them up on that offer.
It was an honour to attend today and it's a day not to be forgotten.

Hey there,
I'm overwhelmed at the generosity and kindness of my Dad's friends that he's met through biking. Firstly the donations at the Wales Rideout (which I hope was as good as dad always said) are amazing and as I see Paul's already told you will be put to good use. I'll post again when the bench at Squires is in place and hope that if you find yourselves out that way you can have a drink and a sit-down, much to my Dad's approval!
Although Monday was a difficult day, myself and my family found a great deal of support in seeing the bikes taking Dad on his last ride. The Duc's beemers and even a couple of riceburners (as Dad used to take the p[iss out of David) were a perfect tribute and the noise would definitely have put a smile on his face. We joked that if he's been there we would have been half an hour late waiting for him to stop looking at all the bikes So many people commented on the escort and how brilliant it was, so thank you so much. Thank you to hjr100, whose words were used by the minster in the commital.
I think now the funeral is over I can begin to move on, the messages on all Dad's forums have been more helpful than you could imagine. Like I say I'll let you know when the bench is up, but for now thank you and hopefully I'll see you around.
