R1200S First Impressions

Postby Scuzzlebutt » Wed Apr 23, 2008 6:17 pm

After a test ride and getting back on my other bike I thought "what have I done".

After the first 50 miles I thought "I can't keep this".

After 200 miles it's pretty good actually.

After 1000 I know I'm going to love it.

If I hadn't had an S and a GS previously I might have had a rash, knee jerk reaction and put it up for sale, dismissed as mistake. Must be difficult for dealers sometimes to entice people away from mainstream bikes.

FZ1S is more comfortable and feels much quicker. However, like all Jap 4's it can feel a little lacking in character.
