James, I never met your dad either, but when you have shared your thoughts with others on this forum you feel like you've known each other for years. To read these messages is testament to how much your dad was held in high regard by those who knew him.
My thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time.

James, I'll also extend my condolences to you and your family. I've only spoken to Eon through the board though I saw him not so long back at Helmsley. I didn't see the bike until he rode off so never got to speak to him. By all accounts here and previously he was a good safe rider which makes such accidents harder to understand and the consequences hard to digest.
Again, thanks for letting us all know.

I read this post and especially what you wrote, a number of times yesterday and was rather affected by it James. I never met your father, having only joined in with forum discussions but he was by all accounts a man that will be sorely missed. I don't have any words that can make a difference and I cannot imagine how devastating it must be, but I genuinely feel for you and your family.

All is quiet now
the rush has gone
I've never travelled this far
don't know where I'm going
or where all has gone
the sun is bright
and there's a cool breeze
I wouldn't mind if this ride...
............. would last forever...
i had no words at first so i thought i'd just post a picture, a ride to the skies ... .... then i just wrote down my thoughts ...

Hello again trixters. I'd like to thank you all for your amazingly kind words over the past few days, I have shown them to my mum and my sister and they have been of great comfort to us all. We have been reminded of the things we saw in my dad and the kind and heartwarming man he was. The number of replies shows the number of people who responded so positively to either meeting him or seeing his posts on the site. I think Eon would be embarassed by all this, but it only serves to further the pride I have in him.
The funeral should be next week and Stoney has asked if it would be ok if the trixters could come in their gear and on their bikes. I've asked the family and we all agree Dad would have liked that very much. If anyone else would like to come please don't hesitate to email me at jamescarlyle1@gmail.com soon, so that we can get an idea of numbers.
I think I'll be printing out the forum responses and taking them to the service as they really do say so much about my Dad. Your kindness is truly appreciated and all the offers of help overwhelming, Eon had some wonderful friends.
Thank you again, and I will see some of you at the funeral, stay safe,
James Carlyle.
