Are you running with a group or alone. If you fancy some company as you run let me know and we can try and meet up.

Hello chaps

Peter, not sure what I am doing yet - 'the wife' wants me to join her in fancy dress (just marrieds FFS!) which would mean us going round in about 5 hours at her pace ... which could hurt more than running at my own pace.

If I run by myself (well, with the other 34999 people) it'll be 4:15-4:30 if it goes to, er, plan (not that I really have one).

What time you thinking about?

Geoff, it was her fault for getting me involved with this stupid 'race' three years ago! I should have bailed out while I had the chance!

Cheers, Lee.

Lee,

I ran London in 4hrs 36mins last year but would hope to do 4hrs 15mins this time.

If you are going to keep your wife company then you won't want someone upsetting your nuptuals so should I keep out of the way??!!

Let me know what you decide, but good luck anyway.

Hi Pete ... think I have decided to run it 'sans wife' as she is heading off from the other start anyway - so logistically chances of meeting up are slim. My excuse anyway.

I think I am at the red start ... need to check that! Aim to get there for 08:30 and take it from there. When I have more detail I'll let you know.

Might head up to Excel tomorrow night on the bike to get the packs for the wife and myself. Get that bit out of the way.

Exciting isn't it ... 8)

Thanks to everyone for their support.

You loved it

Went well mate - 4:15.21 ... so beat my PB by a whole 27 seconds!

That hail storm at Mile 21ish almost finished me off though

Thanks to everyone from me as well.

Running as a squirrel next year - if you can't beat them, join them!

Cheers, Lee.

Whilst the hail storm was bad, I was just glad that I beat the Cornish pasty home!!!

You see some daft costumes out there.

Yes, that Cornish Pasty was causing me all sorts of trouble :D

I was tempted to rugby tackle the squirrel on the Mall but thought it might not be very sporting!

Signed up for next year ... good god.
