er... will it fit??
Hello
cool forum by the way - looks like loads of good info!
hope you don't mind a potential owner asking a few questions!
i'm new to these bikes - was attracted by the looks and very good reviews but i'm not sure how comfy it would be for me for longer rides!
i'm a 6'4" 16 stone bloke with long legs and currently ride a Varadero (which fits great) and having sat on an R1100S it feels comfy but would appreciate it if any similarly sized riders would be able to share their comments on the long ride comfort of the S!
thanks!

Cheers guys - i think i will see if i can get a long test one one!
heard nothing but good things about them so far and a friend of mine has an R1100RS which he loves!
i just prefer the looks of the S but the comfort of the RS is brilliant!
The test ride will swing it weither way - gonna be a total change from the 'dero!
cheers for the comments and advice - any more is welcome!

I have no idea about your stones, but I am 6'2" with a 36" inseam putting in 90kg and have a blast everytime I ride it. Last years vacation I did 2 consecutive 900km days going home, and though obviously tired at the end of the day, I was not cramped at all.
If you like it, and your knees are a tad cramped, you can also look into getting the BMW comfort seat, which is about 1" higher than stock. It's on my wish list. If you get a 2004 or newer Boxercup replica, it will come with this seat as standard.

Hi Z
I'm 6'2" about 15.5 stone and find the S pretty comfortable on long stints. The longest Iv'e rode it in a day was 350 miles up in Scotland through twisty roads and got off pretty much unscathed. I have a bit knee and neck trouble which I've sorted with bar backs and maybe this year I'll fit a peg lowering kit.
Have fun you'll love it but be prepared to give this bike a bit time for it to grow on you.
Cheers, Cobbster.

99 Honda Varadero - farkled to taste...... at the moment!!
Hi mate,
i am 6ft2 and about 17-18 stone and the R1100s fits me perfect...no aches even after a 600 mile day...
go ahead and test one...make sure you go for a nice long test ride but i am sure you will find the S-Q perfect.
Regarding your questions about topboxes...i fitted a Ventura Sport rack and that together with the panniers was more than enough for me and the missus to travel 4000km around spain with all luggage...see picture..
Hope this help!
Thx Lars
