AWAKENING THE DEAD

Postby BOWLER » Sat Mar 25, 2006 7:15 pm

After a long winter of inactivity due to horrible weather and to be perfectly honest a loss of desire to ride the bike(mainly due to depressing anti bike news in MCN).I rode the bike last winter but got peed off with the brakes sticking if I did not clean them every day.
Iwould appreciate any advice regarding getting the bike ready as I am going to definitely use the bike till at least June when the insurance becomes due and then see if Iam still enjoying it so you may see me about inthe Yorks/Derby countryside(usually midweek due to work commitments) .So if you see a blue 2003 standard s give me a wave you never know you might be responsible for keeping me biking.
A quick hello to Peter hope you are fully recovered.
Jeff

Well the bike was all o/k, a bit of air in the tyres and a quick top up for the battery, and even I could still get in the leathers.
Just got back from what was supposed to be a short 3or 4 mile shake down ride, for me and the bike, ended up doing 30 odd miles and loving every minute of it,suddenly all the doubt about keeping the bike seems to be dissapearing rather rapidly.
