A new GSXR 750 with all the current rider aids is due soon I think, I know you are not thinking of buying new but prices of the current model might dip a bit.

Re: getting the itch for another sports bike
I bought an old GSXR 1000 a few years ago to use on trackdays and at the 'Ring to save decking out the cylinders on my 11S which of course lifts the rear wheel and makes life entertaining on opposite lock.
Handling was fab once I got the rear Ohlins set up together with new cartridges in the forks and some adjustable rearsets and clip ons.
It was like an armchair to ride and I didn't need to climb all over it to get it round.
You could do a lot worse than a Gixer.

Not for me I'm afraid - I would look seriously at the Aprilia V4 TBH.
Dunno why you sold the black Ducati you had a couple of years ago Chris.

Re: getting the itch for another sports bike
For the time being, the itch has been scratched. I have agreed to buy and paid deposit on a Suzuki gsxr 750 k5 anniversary edition. 5k miles, in beautiful nick.
I pick it up on way out to our Holidays. Not the type of bike I set out to buy, firstly because it is not Italian and secondly because it is an inline 4.
There you go.
Piccies to follow when I collect it and it becomes initially mine.
Feeling Excited.

Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)
started out with nothing, still have most of it left.

A holiday and a new bike, I would be happy too, make sure you take the correct bike out of the van, I don't think your good lady would be too happy on a gixser all the way to Spain.
Or You could put in my garage while you are away, I wouldn't use it, promise

No worries there Al, I will not be riding it back from Portsmouth either. the 12r is the tool for that. Thanks for the offer of testing, I think I can just about manage that thoughAl wrote:A holiday and a new bike, I would be happy too, make sure you take the correct bike out of the van, I don't think your good lady would be too happy on a gixser all the way to Spain.
