Hi Mak, I agree 51k is good mileage but if the condition is ok and with the service history and a budget of 3k then it could be a good buy, Herrman from this parish is over 80k on his so there should be a few miles left for you, the other thing to remember with the 12s there was only a year/18 month production so there's not a lot about, maybe 250 registered on the road, they do come up so if your preprared to wait and you would probably get something with lower miles but correspondingly more money.
Good luck
Good luck

Scarcity= desirable from a collectors view point. I can see these as being one to watch. But at £3k plus there will be issues. Owners know the value of these bikes. It will need work doubt me not. As an alternative suggestion you will get more for your 3k buying a super blackbird and have less to shell out in getting it up to a standard.
I think you may be buying work.
Chris.

Fiat Panda.
Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)
started out with nothing, still have most of it left.

Thanks, that's the thing putting me off, could be a money pit...
I think 3250 isn't bad given the mileage 'and' it's from a dealer who'll want his profit. It'll have a service and check over before it's sold; I notice that it has some nice headers and a decat as well as a good hugger. The fasteners are a bit rusty and the grips could do with replacing but from the pics it doesn't look like any engine paint is flaking and if it's kept for long term then any further depreciation isn't an issue anyway. I also notice the it was the number plate issued before mine. I am ETK. It looks like a good 'user' and as long as the engine is looked after, the only 'real' points to look out for are possible suspension rebuild in the future and maybe a Final Drive rebuild if you are unlucky but Herb (as mentioned) has 80k on his with no problems and there are 10's of thousands out there with no issues either. If that's the budget I doubt you'll find another or you could save a bit more and wait until next year and the new season. There's precious little left of this one now anyway.
