Sexist?

Postby slparry » Thu Jun 05, 2014 1:04 pm

Is it me or is the last bit of this statement a bit sexist (it's off the BMW website)

"Lowering is now available as an option for the F 800 GS, too. So in conjunction with the low seat, this means it is possible to create a seat height of 820 mm - perfect for shorter riders and women."

Not the worst case of sexism I have ever seen, but definitely poorly written.

They could have ended that sentence after the word 'riders'.

I've written to BMW suggesting that they change it.........

"Lowering is now available as an option for the F 800 GS, too. So in conjunction with the low seat, this means it is possible to create a seat height of 820 mm - perfect for shorter riders and women to enjoy biking when they have finished the housework."

(It's a knack - I know.......... :D )

The women in work have even put a complaint in aboit me farting in the office. Jeeez cant a bloke do anything now. I repplied to my manager that i do not complain when i here them.let one rip. As ye can imagine that went down likr a sack of s--t

Think the negative sexism bit could be related to vertically challenged males but is it sexist? not in my book, women always like to put their foot down :)
