It's taken some effort to get set up (problems with our BT account meaning BT won't talk to me, only my wife, who has not got a jar of glue about what I need) but I have finally got the BT app on my IPad and registered.
I also have Apple TV so I can watch on the big screen via Airplay.

Hadn't thought about the Airplay bit. Will try it out later on.

The striking " Mesomorph Melanie" (Sykes) is the face of Bt`s presentation of Moto Gp. Perfect choice. The riders better behave
Fiat Panda.
Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)
started out with nothing, still have most of it left.

Part of the reason I got apple TV was because in my naivety I thought you could install apps just like on your Ipad or Iphone so would be able to watch direct from the apple box.
Airplay works fine though, with a bit of mucking around with the settings on the TV to get the aspect ratio right.
It does feel like a backward step though, all this new technology. I just want to turn on the telly and watch the racing.

It completely misses the point of a team's 30 lap strategy for the race. And the rider's tactics for delivering on that strategy.
Particularly hated recent WSB "highlight" coverage which could condense a race to 10 minutes of "Whoa! Melandri nearly crashed there!" and long moments focused ghoulishly on the gravel trap.
I forget which MotoGP it was, but it rained, then dried out etc. Everything up for grabs. Teams and riders making decisions - and racing. Charlie Cox's comment "this is a great motor race" stuck with me.
Just talkin'
For anybody who can receive Sport Eins on 19deg. E., they are trailing exclusive coverage of Moto GP, including free practice and qualifying. Coverage starts tomorrow...
German commentary of course

Thanks Herb. I must confess that I bought Apple TV because in my navety I thought I would be able to 'airplay' the BBC Iplayer...errr not!! Well you couldn't the last time I looked anyway?
About all I use it (appletv) for is watching movies (Itunes downloads) on the TV, oh and listening to my itunes catalogue.

Iplayer is compatible with Airplay. Make sure you have the latest updates installed. 4OD is not compatible with Airplay unfortunately. I emailed Channel 4 and was told they have no plans to get the necessary licenses.
Mostly the apple TV is just a netflix player in our house. I bought it to watch Breaking Bad! Love that series, It deserves its own thread!

+1 to that! Just finished watching Breaking Bad, by far the best TV show I've seen in ages!
There's also a documentary on Netflix about it (not watched it yet), but I think it will have alot of spoilers in it....
