Just a shot in the dark - I am finally going to stump up to replace my missing RHS R1200S pannier which made a bid for freedom never to be seen again...
I have checked with motorworks and believe it or not BMW Central in Edinburgh are looking slightly cheaper
So before I order is there anybody who may have a friendly partsman or discount for BMW parts??
Where do they get the idea that all Scots are tight
Thanks
Does anybody have a friendly BMW dealer/parts man??

Williams BMW Manchester told me they'd beat any quote from Motorworks etc and in all fairness my recently purchased voltage regulator for my F650 was cheaper than Motorworks and they did the P&P FOC ... and of course it's easier to sort out the 2 year parts warranty when it's come direct from a dealership
I think there's a pair of the inner bags you're after on ebay at the mo'

Re: Does anybody have a friendly BMW dealer/parts man??
Try John Wood at Cotswold BMW - He will do his best for you. I have used him a lot for parts over my local dealers as he will always try and sort a deal to suit. Problem with this is that he will have to order it I would expect which does limt their options. It may be worth mentioning that he has supplied me with many parts and that may cut some ice on the discount front...
They come with the inner bags. I sourced my entire set with rack from him a while back as there were simply no secondhand ones around at the time.
There was a ebayer in Germany selling them but not sure if they are still available seperately or as a pair
Best regards,
David

Try MotoBins at Spalding or James Sherlock in Devon for S/H replacements they may be able to help. Both firms have been really helpful to me in the past.
There would appear to be a surfeit of prolixity and sesquipedalian content today please do not use a big word when a singularly un-loquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity

Weegies are highly educated people who reside in the industrial capital of Scotland.....
Weegies are the shortened name for them...full name is Soap dodging, useless, ugly, aggressive, lazy bas.......ahem Glaswegians......Weegies!!!
I have tried everywhere for 2nd hand panniers but they are as scarce as rocking horse poo.....so new is my only option
On checking with the main dealer he did initially state that they were discontinued then said no he could still get them (phew!!)
So it looks like main dealer it is!! All in £244.91
