El-nicko, very ingenious and resourceful. I'm not a hand-guard guy but just wanted to say well done thinking out of the box to achieve your goal :D

Fraid I can not top the previous post 8) but heres a plug for one of our own mrtt4turbo (tpcs)

http://s872.photobucket.com/albums/ab286/scottbeem/

Had the tyres refitted to the refinished car wheels done by steve, the plastic hub inserts were painted by moi at the weekend at very little expense using a pearlescent basecoat and a clearkote uv/oil resistant lacquer (aerosols) supplied by express paints.

Top quality finish, they look loads better in Sunlight. Ok I know its a car thing but they could easily be your bike wheels.

Nope not yet. due to the snow its stuck up there in York and I'm stuck down here in derbyshire. Probably going to be next weekend now. However SAS Tom had his set-up while we were there, and he seemed very happy with the service. I'm sure he'd be able to elaborate - more when the roads allow him to give it a proper testing.

I'm in for more extensive work as the rear hyperpro has shot a seal and there was no gas and very little oil in there, which, as you might imagine, made for some very "interesting" cornering...

I've had mine done but all I've done on it since is ride up and down the motorway. I had a little blast when he did it and it felt a lot better, gave me a lot more confidence in the corners to the point where I was coming out of corners spinning the rear wheel. This was due to the temperature and road surface but I was happy to have the confidence to do it without worrying.

Once it warms up a bit I'll be able to give a better idea of what he has done.
