Well, used the 1200 for the first time yesterday - 40 mile round trip to work and back - absolutely loved it!!! Now, what do I do with the BCR?

When I took an R1200s out for a test ride many years ago - I got back on my BCR - and thought it was bust!

Since then, with more bikes to choose from - I am more forgiving of each of their traits, - but at the time

See what you feel at the end of the riding season.

Al :D

Great weather today

Both are quite different and as mentioned both have their merits. I don't for a second think an R12s casts the R 11S straight onto the scrap heap , and bear in mind I came to these bikes via a R12S first, while most people go from an RIIS to an R12S and are amazed by the progression.
For me going from an 12 to an 11 I was charmed and see it as a classic bike with lots of positives not least, being far better looking than an R12S, not something to be compared with anything else.

It was meant tongue in cheek and i hear whatyou say about comparing the 2 - I think the BCR is a stunning looking bike and I've always enjoyed riding it. What may possibly happen is that I get rid of my VFR and get a new GS (depending on a few things at work) and that is really the 3 bikes that I want
