Two trips to Franceshire

A few pics from the two foreign jaunts this year:
Alsace in May
Hotel in Salles, Alsace.
We stopped for coffee, because there were bikes there already (bikes attract bikes) - and discovered that the two bikes at the end had all tyres "flat" - they had been put there as "decoys" ...... Clever hotel-owners.
My travelling companion (Dorsetboy - in traditional blue shorts) outside the chalet in Gerardmer
"Working" on his SatNav - be afraid......... be very afraid.
On the way back to Le Havre - we spotted a likely looking establishment for lunch (attracted by a couple of bikes) - and we in turn - attracted another 4:
Stopped in Rogny for the night. The hotel was a bit of an error, as it was kind of "tired".
Brittany - July
Travelled across on Brittany Ferries - their sponge protection for cargo-straps is shit - took a week for the seat to recover.
Port Launey on west coast
Port Launey - looking upriver
Took the bike to the statue of Saint Rita - Patron Saint of Rimtape....... always worth a visit:
Discovered that I was staying only around 20 miles from Rob & Gail, so had a couple of BBQs with them ......
Some cracking roads around Brittany - just got to watch for Monsieur Le Farmer coming around bends with a harvester - taking up most of the road.
