:D hi Ive just bought a r1100s, great bike, does anyone know where I can get some silver paint for the forks, as mine are flaking a bit,? cheers mark.

Paint the forks? Hammerite will do just fine (no kiddin)

Hi Mark,

Welcome to the site. When I did my R1100S forks, I stripped them back with automotive Nitromors, then painted them with silver wheel paint and a final coat or two of lacquer. It made a heck of a difference.

If you use Hammerite, make sure its the smooth stuff you apply :wink:

You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.
