Hi from Brackley

Postby xbpod » Fri Oct 05, 2018 9:06 am

Hi all.

New to this forum, but I have owned a 1200r and a 1200gs in the past, so not new to BMW's. Both those were bought from new but my latest purchase is 18 years old.

I purchased an 1100s a couple of weeks ago, on ebay and too far away to view, with a view to using it as a winter project over the dark winter months. However now I have had a closer look it seems to be in too good a condition to mess about with. Looks like my 4 months work might end up being a strip down and clean session.

That's about it for now but I'm sure I will be asking lots of stupid questions once I start delving under the body work.

Pete.

Welcome to the forum Pete and good luck with your new (to you) bike.

Cheers,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.
