Hello ladies!

Just thought I'd pop my head in and say hello over here!
I've just bought this rather splendid R1100S, the photos were taken by the guy that sold it, I've subsequently ditched the top box and am looking at making the bike a little more my own.
The previous owner mentioned that the bike is known here (the owner before him is a member?) If anyone has any info I'd like to hear it.
Cheers Guys!

Paviers are remarkably weed free but the side of the building could do with the green algae being washed off -----I'll get me coat

Hi fella,
In answer to your questions ....
Yes
Yes
Yes
(albeit whether I'd call it stunning paintwork is questionable, I do try to do a nice job)
I've decided to give my new R1100s a paint job, I dare say I'll write it up here somewhere

I too got rid of my top box .
I know they have uses , however I just hated to look of the bike with it on .
Its put away , so that if I ever decide to sell the bike ( Not for a long time I hope) the new owner can have it .
Top boxes

I suppose top boxes like that, putting weight so high and far back, have their uses, such as stopping the pillion sliding off the back ... but can you not achieve the same solution with just pannier rails, to attach the bungee hooks to, and a cargo net over the pillion?
And if anyone thinks this is getting OT, regard it as a displacement activity to stop me going green over a bike already in a condition I aspire to get mine into over the next year or more! Nice one, Tunneruk.
Look forward to seeing the paint job that makes it more personal!

Welcome aboard. Nice looking 11. I'll be watching for the paintwork, mine could do with refreshment of pigmentation along with other bits and bobs.

Welcome, I too will be looking with interest for your paint job; currently been rebuilding (well, tidying up) bike for past 12 months off & on; hopefully on road soon.. I have been debating in my head whether to leave stock color or make it a bit original; Al put me off mine & is lipstick red jokes ; )

Well the paint job won't be too long coming hopefully. I've just got to get through the current mountain of "I need my paintwork back before summer" work that I currently have on then I'm going to quietly roll her up onto the ramp and do my thing. I'll likely start a separate thread ......
I'm really looking forward to it!
