Hello All,
Just thought I'd say hello!
I previously owned a 2008 BMW R1200 GSA but have just sold it and "upgraded" to a black 2008 R1200S. Since getting my GSA I am a BMW bike convert and love the boxer motor. The GSA handled so well I wanted to know what the engine would be like in a sports bike and now I am beginning to find out. Its a bit of a squeeze as I'm 6'5".
I ride all through the winter but look after my bikes. My R1200S has suffered from a bit of neglect mainly salt damage so have already started buying bits to get it back to tip top condition.
Regards,
Jon

Hi All,
Finally got to take the 1200S on a ride just for a rides sake in the dry with the sun out and no risk of ice yesterday.
I've got to say I was blown away! had the Ipod on all the way, my best motorcycling experience ever and I've been riding for 28years! It was like being 24 again, awesome, I've just got top learn to ride it properly now.
Very suprised this bike dosen't get better reviews but please ignored them and bought it anyway.

Glad you like it.
I think the R1200s is easier to form a quick opinion of, than the R1100s, but the biggest hurdle that BMW faced (in both models) was getting people to ignore the KG|BHP figures, the Suspension|shaft-drive anomaly................. and to give it a chance

If I am ever on life support - Unplug me......
Then plug me back in..........
See if that works .....

Hey up Matey, at 6`5" you must be perfect for the 1200s. This bike seems to get positive "handling" feedback from the taller guys. Good choice and welcome. Now some piccies and lets av a look at the salt damageCopper wrote:Hi All,

Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)
started out with nothing, still have most of it left.
