I wouldn't touch a Fisher with a barge pole, not since I lost my first mountain bike through a cracked frame which should have been replaced under warranty. Fisher's were denying there was an issue with the frame design, even though they were snapping all over the country. The bike shop was complicit (in my opinion) since it was well known before I was sold mine. Ah, the days before the internerd where you can research your purchases...

Anyway, the shop went under, Trek bought out Fisher but refused to honour any of the warranties so I lost £550. Fisher and Trek have lost my business for life and as many people as I can convince that they are a crap company to have to deal with.

My Marin has been sound for ten years and may about to be replaced. Another Marin, a Specialized and a Cannondale have all made the list so far.

My mate has got an Orange Clockwork, no joke intended. Lovely bike. The good thing about the Claud Butler is no BMW parts to go wrong.
Sorry but I have become so cynical these last 12 months.

Very nice bike that. :)

Mine's just a humble 5 yr-old P7.

Humble???? .... Humbug.

The P7 is the basically the Clockwork with some updates. I bought one in c. 1992 and only sold it 2 years ago - and I still regret selling it.

It's a cracking frame, if not as light as some of its more modern competitors.

I'll stick to me carbon fibre Scott thankyou very much, although i do find it ironic a shock for my mountain bike costs more than an Ohlin for my S.

Orange mountain bikes are ace in my opinion. If I were to replace my 14 year old MTB it would be with an Orange.
