The MV has only done 550 miles since its last MOT / Service so I thought I would put it direct to MOT ...... It Failed. Rear brake was too soft.
So I brought it home and researched how to remove the petrol tank as this is a necessary precursor to accessing the brake reservoir behind the engine, next to the exhaust .... and was actually not too difficult.
Went to start the work next day only to find the back tyre was flat, had a nail in it. Then of course we discovered that the nut holding the wheel on would not budge for us. Called for RAC assistance, with Jenny and I holding the bike and the RAC guy using his pneumatic wrench the nut would not move.
So a week later the bike was picked up by the dealer that serviced it last year, and today I rode it home with a new tyre, brake bled, and a new MOT in my pocket.
It is expensive for 550 miles, note to self .... use it more.
