A rolling project... aka an '03 Enfield Bullet 65 .

I had a '98 350 a few years ago and said never again .... It didn't go and didn't stop , as the years passed I said maybe, if it has a 5 speed box and a disc brake, ended up earlier in the year with a barely rolling project that had spent probably 5 years under a tarpaulin. It has a 5 speed L/h gearchange  but no disc brake  and with the current strength of sterling a brake conversion would cost more than the bike is standing me . At least I learned a lot about drum brakes over the summer ( apart from what I knew already.. ( they're crap)).

Previous owner supplied everything that was needed to finish the bike and had got a reasonable paint job done on the tank and tool boxes

Gearchange was a tad sloppy

Despite what Enfielders say I've found the 500 (especially with the 5 speed box ) a much better bike than the 350, loads more torque and much more go relatively speaking... although admittedly it has a few more vibes.

Good choice ! My Bullet came with an electric start but I haven't bothered buying the correct battery and sorting the wiring yet......
