...Falcon Team Equip singlespeed

Postby 3narf » Thu Jun 25, 2015 5:51 pm

This is 'Aryton' (it cost me a tenner), my trusty Falcon Singlespeed.

I rescued it from a local scrap-metal dealer and rebuilt it in 2011; I've done nearly 8000 miles on it since then, and I rarely get overtaken by any other cyclist, maybe once or twice a year.

I love single speeds .

For many years raced push bikes on the track . ( Velodrome in todays speak ... )

Still have my Claude Butler Track frame ...

All the Campag components were stolen by my (ex) friend who looked after the bike for a year . He told me he decided he wasn't going to store it for nothing ....

I plan to move to Spain in the next year or so , I'll rebuild it out there !

Looks fun. I'd never get my huge bulk up the hills on a single speed.

.....I get overtaken all the time. Haha

Love single speeds - quickest way to get fit that I know. I had a Colnago track frame built with a road fork and built it up with Record Pista fantastic bike, cost a fortune and I sold it for half what it cost!!! Wish I'd kept it

For sure it's a quick way to get fit! I won't be able to commute on it much longer (I'm going to be 75 miles from work...) so it'll be coming of the road to be renovated.

It's the least I can do for such a faithful friend.
