My Other bikes a................................money pit

Postby gripperod » Sat Jan 13, 2007 8:45 am

Finally worked out how to use photobucket so I hope this works! Here are my "others", a H*nda cafe racer loosely based on the Dick Mann 1970 Daytona bike and an ex WD B40 I bought for competing in the Beamish Trophy Trial in 2006.

Just need to finish the H*nda (Ive been at it for 5 years now) and get it through a German TUV (MOT), ha ha ha ha.............................

That Cafe Racer is something else, always wanted to have something like that in my garage, maybe one day.

One of the very few new bikes i've ever had a CB750 circa 1974,i remember riding it to watch the Imola 200 a couple of weeks after i bought it and haveing to get a guy in Bologna to open his shop up at god knows what time, as i'd ridden from the other side of switzerland on 2 cylinders one of the coils had packed up.

Although one of my fond memories before i bought the CB750 was comeing across an early version and giveing the guy a kicking on my Kawasaki 500 H1A

I hope you do it in the gold and white lining,i still have original cuttings in a scrap book from when Mann won the 200,when in stone age days you had to wait a week to find out the result.

A great source of info nowhere days is Classic Racer.
