Been regretting letting my MZ Baghira go last year when I changed the 1100s for the GS as I didn't think I would need two adventure style bikes, so yesterday I bought a low mileage but slightly unloved 55 plate XT660x, frame and cycle parts are ok but a few scuffs on the panels(thinking of wrapping them maybe)and flaking paint on the engine(just like a BMW) it needs new chain/ sprockets and fork seals and it should be ok.
I bought a Suzuki Burgman a couple of years ago to trailer behind the motorhome as Sue was thinking of doing her test but she has changed her mind so I can sell that now and use the XT instead.

Re: XT660x
Picking it up at the w/end, will sort some pics then, the XT engine has fuel injection, can be a bit snatchy at low speeds apparently, supposedly it can be sorted with a £100 black box from eBay, I'll give it a while and see how it goes.

Re: XT660x
I'd be interested to see how it compares to the Baghira. Had one of those in London when I lived down there and loved it.
Front end was a little light when I rode it from London to Donington Park up the M1 but as a fun hooning bike I don't think Ive had a better one.

I remember hiring one of those for a few days in Cyprus. Fun bike loads of stomp. Good choice.

Re: XT660x
I had a 1990 XT600 (3AJ) - this forum is worth a look, I found it very useful:-

It started badly, it tailed off a little in the middle and the less said about the end the better, but apart from that it was excellent.
